IT Lasso, LLC ("IT Lasso," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on https://itlasso.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, the tracking technologies we use, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. Each form on the Site collects only the fields it shows you:
- Contact form (/contact): name, email address, subject, message.
- Support ticket form (/support-tickets): name, email address, subject, priority, message.
- Website project questionnaire (/website-questionnaire): first and last name, email address, phone number, company, website type, your current website address, project description, budget range, timeline, CMS preference, and how you heard about us.
- AI project form (/ai-agents): first and last name, work email address, company, service of interest, message.
- With every form submission we also store the IP address it was sent from and the page address you submitted it from, for security and abuse prevention.
- Account and client login: username, email, and credentials.
- Purchases through our Shop/Publishing store and our website hosting orders: order details and information needed to fulfill your purchase. Payment card data is entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor, and is never seen or stored by us.
- Chat: messages and any information you type into our AI chat agent (see Section 4).
Information collected automatically: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system). We do not currently run any third-party analytics. See our Cookie Policy for what is stored on your device.
Self-hosted fonts: all typefaces used on the Site are served from our own server. No Google Fonts, no content delivery network, and no font provider receives your IP address.
Information from embedded content: pages that include third-party content (such as embedded YouTube videos) may cause that third party to collect information about you. See Section 5.
3. How we use your information
We use information to: respond to inquiries and support requests; provide and operate the Site, your account, and purchases; operate and improve our AI chat agent; maintain security and prevent fraud/abuse; analyze and improve the Site; and comply with legal obligations. We rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and tracking.
4. AI chat agent (Talovi)
Our Site offers an AI chat agent. It runs on Talovi, which is IT Lasso's own AI chat platform — not a third-party service. When you chat with us, you are dealing with us. One external company is involved: Anthropic, which receives the text you type and generates the replies using its Claude model.
The chat asks for your agreement separately from the cookie banner, and nothing loads until it does. The chat button on our home page is ours: it is plain HTML and contacts no one. Only after you open it and agree to the notice do we load the chat software. If you decline, nothing is loaded and nothing is sent.
What happens when you send a message: your message goes to our Talovi platform, which passes it to Anthropic to generate a reply. We store the conversation — your messages and the agent's replies — on our own servers, with the date and time. As with any web request, our server also receives your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the address of the page you were on; these are not written into the stored conversation.
Anthropic processes what you type under its commercial terms as our service provider. We do not restate those terms here; see Anthropic's own privacy documentation for how it handles data it receives.
What the chat does not do. It sets no cookies. It stores no identifier in your browser. It does not track you between visits, and we do not build profiles of chat visitors — we do not link your conversations together, infer facts about you, or carry anything from one chat into the next.
What we use conversations for. Two things only: answering the message you sent, and reviewing common questions in our own reporting dashboard so we can improve the information on this Site. Your conversations are not used to train AI models.
How long we keep them. We keep conversations until we choose to delete them; there is no automatic deletion at present. If you would like your conversation deleted, email office@itlasso.com and we will remove it.
Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. You can withdraw your agreement at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer; the next time you open the chat you will be asked again.
5. Cookies, analytics, and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and, only with your consent, for functional, analytics, and advertising purposes. Functional consent currently covers one thing: playing an embedded YouTube video (served from the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie domain) without leaving our page. Until you give it, the play button is an ordinary link to YouTube and nothing is requested from Google. The AI chat is not covered by this consent — it asks you separately, at the chat itself (see Section 4). We do not currently deploy third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising/targeting cookies. You control these through our cookie banner and your browser settings. Full details and a category-by-category list are in our Cookie Policy. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with:
- Service providers/processors who act on our behalf under contract: our website host, Anthropic (which generates our AI chat replies from the text you type), our payment processor Stripe and the bot-protection service Stripe uses on its checkout (hCaptcha), and our email provider. Our Talovi chat platform is not on this list because it is ours, not a third party. We do not currently use an analytics provider.
- Embedded third-party content providers (Google/YouTube) when you choose to play a video, as described above.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Some sharing for analytics or advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law; you can opt out as described in Section 8.
7. Data retention and security
How long we keep things:
- Form submissions. Deleted automatically: contact form, website project questionnaire and AI project enquiries after 24 months (730 days); support tickets after 36 months (1,095 days), because they form a service history. Deletion runs on a scheduled task and removes the whole submission.
- Chat conversations: see Section 4.
- Site error and activity logs: kept on a rolling basis, with the oldest entries removed automatically once the log reaches its size limit (currently 10,000 entries).
- Web server access logs: kept for the period set by our hosting provider.
You can ask us to delete information we hold about you at any time — see Section 8. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your privacy rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to: know/access the personal information we collect; delete it; correct it; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise them, email office@itlasso.com or use our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. We honor GPC signals. You may use an authorized agent. We will verify your request as required by law.
Other U.S. state residents. If you reside in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others), you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and sale. Contact us at office@itlasso.com.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites (e.g., haveibeenpwned.com, social media). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; review their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; we will post the new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
